Today I started the PIQ course, or the pilot initial qualification course for the C-130. We started off the day with some paperwork, some briefings, and copying down a few phone numbers, just like every AETC course. We got a big box of pubs, a few errands to run, and we went over the schedule for next week. We'll have academics for about three weeks, then move on to cockpit procedures and sims. The first academics test is next week. We got a tour of the facilities and met a few interesting characters.
Sadly, I couldn't make it home for lunch to eat leftover chicken pot pie, but I had a good sub from the BX.
What is a box of pubs?
ReplyDeleteI'm sad for you too about the pot pie... sounds Delish. *sigh*
A box of publications - flight manual, performance charts, instrument flight regs, etc.
